🧑🏽🏫Preparing for Course Registration/Meetings with Advisors |
Registration for summer and fall classes is coming up soon. Be sure to schedule time with your advisor to plan out your course schedule. Registration PINs will no longer be assigned; instead, a registration hold has been placed on all student records. The hold will be released by academic advisors during advising sessions. You can find your advisor on the Success Team card in MyIUP. Check for your fall registration time appointment and get important details and updates on the registration process on the How to Register page, including answers to frequently asked questions and detailed directions.

❓What Steps Should I Take Before Meeting with My Advisor About Registration? |
Here are a few steps to help you prepare for registration:
|
-
Review progress toward the completion of your degree by checking Degree Works.
- List your current semester courses and expected grades. Your advisor will want to know how your classes are going so far this semester.
- View the course schedule and identify a few classes that interest you.
- Write down your questions and concerns, and bring that list with you to your advising meeting.
- Schedule an appointment with your academic advisor!
|
Don’t hesitate to get in touch with your Navigator if you need assistance with Degree Works. You can also contact the Advising Center by email at advising-center@iup.edu or by coming to B20 Stabley to help prepare for your advising meeting. You will need to meet with your advisor and have your “Contact Advisor” hold removed before summer and/or fall registration.
