Dear Friends of CIERP,
Giving Tuesday is today! Your gift to CIERP has a real impact. It directly supports our students' ability to travel to conferences like COP30, take on internships at organizations like the United Nations, and put on events that bring interesting and influential speakers to campus.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our students and their work to address climate change through research, internships, on-the-ground projects, and policy engagement. We couldn't do this without you.
With the help of donations, CIERP has been able to provide funding for students to travel in the United States and around the world. Students have had the opportunity to engage with policymakers, advance their research, and pursue their career aspirations in climate and environmental policy.

"This September, I had the opportunity to attend New York Climate Week (NYCW) thanks to the support of the CIERP Travel Fund for Experiential Learning. I had been looking forward to this experience since I first landed at Boston Logan. From the start at Fletcher, I knew I wanted to make the most of my academic journey by engaging directly with the international climate community and bringing classroom concepts into practice." - Daniel Alegre
Last month, The Fletcher School and CIERP sent a delegation to COP30 in Belém, Brazil. Students had the opportunity to attend high-level negotiations, speak on panels, and conduct research on a variety of climate-related topics.

"Attending a UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP) has been a dream of mine for years, and this November I finally experienced it firsthand as part of the Tufts University delegation to COP30 in Belém, Brazil. The conference offered an incredible learning opportunity to see theory put into practice, and to witness the delicate diplomacy of international climate negotiations in real life." - Maya Spalding-Fecher

CIERP Supported Internships
CIERP has financially supported student internships, giving them the opportunity to gain professional experience working in international climate policy. Students have interned at United Nations, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, CDP, and The Nature Conservancy, among many others.

"I am grateful to the Center for International Environment and Resource Policy for supporting my internship at the Secretariat of the UNFCCC, which has been invaluable for my personal and professional development. As this experience has reiterated my desire to work in international climate governance and as I graduate from Fletcher, I am excited to share that my journey at the UNFCCC will continue as a consultant, where I will keep analyzing countries’ NDCs with a view to finalizing the NDC Synthesis Report before COP30 in Bélem." - Anton Sauder

CIERP works hard to bring interesting and influential speakers to campus. When a speaker comes to campus, they often give a lecture and our students get to engage with these high-level people one-on-one or in small groups.
