Happy Fall! Our recent Alaska cruise gave me a taste of the cooler weather coming our way soon. With daily highs in the mid 50s, I came home ready to put summer behind me.
Fall is my favorite time to travel, and not just because of the cooler weather. Fall travel means lower prices and fewer crowds. If you don’t have plans to travel this fall don't fret...it’s also a great time to start planning your travel for next year. I can tell you the most popular destinations will be packed again next year, and by booking early you'll get the greatest range of choices. If you want to avoid the worst of the summer travel crowds, consider taking the road (or river) less traveled as we did earlier this year. Our lower Danube River cruise through countries like Bulgaria, Romania, and Serbia was an experience unlike any I’ve had before, but one that I will treasure both for the places we visited, and the people we met.
The other reason fall is my favorite time of year is that it is the time for the Food & Wine Issue of our newsletter. I introduced our newly reformatted newsletter back in the spring. As a refresher, we've begun using a newsletter created by the travel consortium we belong to. In addition to getting you great rates on travel, this consortium offers monthly newsletters with professionally written articles sponsored by our many suppliers. This issue focuses on the opportunities our suppliers provide to experience the cultural richness of the world’s destinations through food and wine. Jeff is still offering his forthright destination and supplier reviews and travel tips through our travel blog...using our consortium's newsletter is our chance to highlight a wider range of destinations, suppliers, and travel experiences for your benefit. I hope you enjoy!
Note: Any forms you fill out in the newsletter or requests for more information will come directly to us, not our suppliers. If you see something you like, let us know and we'll give you a call to provide more information and get you booked.
Warmest Regards,
Janet
