February 1 Scripture focus: 1 John 4:20-21 "Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister."

Pray for the Maintenance Department. Vicky Kirchoff, Physical Plant Office Manager, and 34-year SC employee, passed away January 24. We rejoice that Vicky is in the presence of the Lord! But her departure from this world was unexpected and leaves a huge hole in the Maintenance Department and in the hearts of her SC family.

3 Today is a special screening of a C. S. Lewis/J. R. R. Tolkien documentary at Sterling free to the public. Sterling College was chosen as a screening site because of our C. S. Lewis Center. Pray that the event is well attended and that God is glorified.

4 Pray for President Scott Rich.

5 Those who recruit prospective students to SC play a crucial role in the success of Sterling College. Pray that the Lord would greatly bless their efforts for the good of the college and for His glory.

Pray for hearts and minds to be moved by the power of the Holy Spirit to be generous towards the work and mission of Sterling College.

7 Pray for all who have birthdays in February. Pray that they know in their heart of hearts that they are precious to God and exceedingly valued by Him.

8 Scripture focus: Galatians 5:16 "So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh."

9 The Sterling College Jazz band performs today. Pray for them and ask the Lord to deeply bless them.

10 Sterling College softball team travels to Hesston, KS today to take on the Hesston College Larks. Pray for safety in travel and that the coaching staff and team all represent the Lord and the college well.

11 Pray for all alumni who own their own business. Ask the Lord to give them wisdom and discernment in their dealings and to operate their businesses with God honoring integrity.

12 Today, ask the Lord to bring someone to mind that needs encouragement. Pray for that person, then give them a call or send an encouraging email or text.

13 Today, pray VP of Student Life, Jason Briar. Jason is a 1999 graduate of Sterling College. He serves the student body selflessly.

14 Pray for all alumni who met the love of their life at Sterling College. Happy Valentine's Day.

15 Scripture focus: Philippians 2:14-16 "Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain."

16 The women of Evans Hall would appreciate your prayers today. Ask the Lord to deeply and richly bless each resident of Evans.

17 God is good ALL the time! Ask God to continue moving the hearts of the students and pray that students are eager to grow in the Lord.

18 Pray that all the people at Sterling College truly know the love of our Savior and Lord and know the healing power of His love.

19 Pray for the prospective students that come to campus, that they will be able to sense the amazing community that Sterling has to offer and that they will have wisdom in their decisions regarding college.

20 Pray that God would be with the parents and families of our students keeping them safe and comforting them on the days when they miss each other.

21 Praise God for never leaving us. Pray that students realize they do not have to handle their problems alone and that they would look to Him for guidance and comfort.

22 Scripture focus: Matthew 7:12 "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." Also, today we get to pray for Board of Trustees member, Daryl Nuss, class of 1971 as he celebrates his birthday. Thank the Lord for Daryl's service to SC. Pray that he will have a peace-filled day.

23 Pray for the students of Sterling who may feel like things are not going according to plan, that they can rest in the Lord’s faithfulness.

24 Pray for Jordan Waite, Director of Admissions, who recently took this new role. Ask the Lord to richly bless the work of her hands.

25 Please pray for our nation’s government and the leaders of our country.

26 Pray that God will continue to provide resources to our students via the Office of Student Success, and that they may continue expanding on ideas that would further help Sterling’s retention rate.

27 The faculty meet today for their monthly meeting. Ask the Lord to fill them with the unity of His Spirit.

28 Tonight is the final performance of "Our Town" by the Sterling Theatre Department. Pray for the actors to perform to the best of their ability and for an enjoyable evening for the audience.
