First impressions matter. If you are preparing to meet a new professor, peer, or colleague, one of the most important aspects of meeting someone new is giving a confident introduction while remaining genuine to who you are and what is important to you. Highlight your accomplishments and strengths while staying authentic. Practice with a friend or in the mirror so you are prepared when introducing yourself to others for the first time.
