St. Luker Katie Thedford married Hunter Johnson on June 26 in a beautiful ceremony in the sanctuary. Katie and her family are longtime St. Lukers and we are grateful to be able to finally celebrate their union with their friends and family. Congratulations to you both.
Congratulations to the Malick family on forty-eight years of marriage! Ruth and Keith met at Otterbein University. They have been members of St. Luke’s since 1983. Happy Anniversary!

St. Luke's VBS children had an amazing time being back on campus, singing, learning the Bible stories in Bible drama, making crafts, and finding ways to create clean water in Costa Rica. Over 150 "shipmates" climbed aboard the "SS St. Luker" to join a hero’s quest to discover our core values in the parables of Jesus. Ms. Lana and her team did a fantastic job planning, writing, and making VBS so special.
St. Luke's Sanctuary Choir gathered for the first time in person in over a year, and sang a beloved hymn together! Now's a great time to join the choir. Email Amy Martin Cole for details.

In case you missed it, St. Luke's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee presented two powerful video programs last month:
Grow It Forward Micro Farm Expansion
St. Luke’s, in partnership with Grow Orlando, welcomes Orlando Baptist Temple in Pine Hills as a new farm in the Grow It Forward network.
Community members, Grow Orlando staff, and St. Luke’s volunteers joined together to prepare the land for a September groundbreaking of this new farm.
Community leaders and children from The Legal Labb, Inc. and Big Sis, Inc. summer camps, gathered to taste produce grown at the St. Luke’s Farm and suggested the fresh vegetables and fruits they would like to plant on their farm.
St. Luke's thanks No Kid Hungry for the grant funding of four new farms in the Pine Hills and Winter Garden areas in 2021.

This month's featured Staff Shout Out goes to St. Luke's Director of Adult Discipleship and Evangelism, Liz Vasquez!
For being so compassionate and creative with connecting people to discipleship. She is helping Missions shepherd volunteers to get excited about joining discipleship groups.
Congratulations Liz!
