ViralMoment, co-founded by Carnegie Mellon alumni Chelsie Hall and Sheyda Demooei, is an AI-powered, machine learning-driven, B2B SaaS social intelligence platform specializing in demystifying social video platforms like TikTok. The 2021 VentureBridge company recently won the Startup Challenge at Total Retail TECH held earlier this month.

The Swartz Center Hosts Virtual Talk with XFund Partner Brandon Farwell
XFund Partner Brandon Farwell spoke with the current CMU graduate James R. Swartz Entrepreneurial Fellows and the newly selected undergraduate Innovation Scholars during their Proseminar in Entrepreneurial Leadership course talk on Friday, September 22, 2023. Brandon shared how XFund selects startups to invest in and provided valuable funding advice to the students. Xfund is an early-stage venture capital firm in California built to back entrepreneurs who think laterally and experiment across disciplines.
Among the students who attended virtually were CMU Qatar students Aisya Aziz (Swartz Fellow), Maria Sultana Mina (Innovation Scholar) and Mukhammadjon Gafurov (Innovation Scholar).

| Apply to the James R. Swartz Entrepreneurial Fellows Program by October 15!
Are you a CMU graduate student interested in being a part of a network of entrepreneurially-minded students and furthering your startup dreams? Then the James R. Swartz Fellows program may be for you. Applications are open for the 2023-25 James R. Swartz Entrepreneurial Fellows cohort.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis through Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 11:59 PM ET.
NOTE: Early applications are encouraged. Due to the competitive nature of this program and the limitation of 12-14 slots available, interviews will be based on the strength of the candidate's application and CMU program diversity.

Matt specializes in representing technology startups and emerging growth companies, assisting with entity formation, fundraising and overall growth needs. Startup companies with a founder who is a CMU graduate, undergraduate or alumni is eligible to register for an appointment.
