Landon Lee
Meet SUU's Student Body President
With a new academic year underway, the 2025-26 SUUSA Executive Council is soaring forward with Landon Lee serving as president. A senior from Fillmore, Utah, Landon is studying exercise science with the goal of becoming a physical therapist. His journey to SUU began with a feeling of community that made Cedar City feel like home, a sentiment he now hopes to extend to every student on campus.

SVU & SUU Collaboration
SVU and SUU Collaboration 
In an effort to provide meaningful educational pathways into graduate programs, SUU has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Southern Virginia University to admit recent SVU graduates with bachelor's degrees into SUU master's programs. The partnership gives SVU graduates priority access to a wide range of graduate opportunities here on our campus.

President of Huntsman Mental Health
Alumna Named President of Huntsman Mental Health
The Huntsman Mental Health Foundation recently named SUU alumna Miranda Barnard ('01) as its president. Following an impressive career that has included senior leadership positions at CHG Healthcare, HealthEquity, Vivint Solar and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, Miranda will lead the Foundation's efforts in fundraising, primarily for mental health treatment and furthering research nationwide.

Justin Miller
From Cedar City to Germany
Former SUU QB Justin Miller is continuing to make his mark in the football world, this time on the international stage. Playing professionally for the Dresden Monarchs in the German Football League, Justin not only led his team to an impressive 13-1 record but was recently named League MVP following a remarkable season.

SUU has been selected as an official Peace Corps Prep university, a designation that connects SUU students with a unique opportunity to prepare for international service and leadership through Peace Corps-aligned academic and experiential learning.
