The best way to sustain the ministries of Wellspring is to make an online pledge. Your consistent giving allows us to plan ministries that transform lives. Your pledge is not the same as setting up a recurring giving method. Rather, it is your promise to support the church financially in the coming year. And it only takes a few minutes to set up!
Make your online pledge at wellumc.org/giving/pledge between now and this Sunday, October 6, where we will consecrate our pledges in worship. Thank you!
Note: Need a little help? You might try watching last year's tutorial video [click here]. And if you still have trouble, need a paper pledge card, or need further assistance, feel free to contact the church office and we'll be glad to assist you!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO STAFF A
CRAFT BOOTH AT THE FESIVAL |
By Becky Houser – Wellspring Mercy & Justice LGBTQ+ Team Lead
As a Sponsor of this event, we have agreed to help staff a booth with crafts for kids. We will need volunteers for 1.5 hour shifts starting at noon. You do not need to have crafting skills just a willingness to help direct the kids to the different things we will have for them to do. We would love you to wear a Wellspring Shirt. Contact Becky Houser at beckyhouser1@gmail.com, or 281-543-4779, if you can serve during the festival.

Book Study: Knowing Who We Are: The Wesleyan Way of Grace by Laceye C. Warner
Thursdays 2-3:30pm October 10 - November 14
Facilitator: Rev. Bernie Sandberg |
|
|
In Knowing Who We Are: The Wesleyan Way of Grace, Laceye C. Warner invites you to a richer understanding of Wesleyan Christianity so you can have a clear sense of identity, better express your own beliefs, and deepen your connection with The United Methodist Church. She introduces you to important values and characteristics that make the Wesleyan way distinctive, including emphasizing God’s grace for all and sanctification as tangible transformation in your life, your community, and all creation. You’ll see how The United Methodist Church today is deeply rooted in the Christian tradition and a legacy of care, compassion, and active response to injustice in the world. And you’ll find that Christian faith in the Wesleyan tradition holds together personal faith and community life, along with a commitment to justice through ministry and service.

“Living Open Hearted”
Scripture Passages: Mark 10:2-16
There’s no right way to marginalize the vulnerable. We miss the mark when we try to find the “recipe” for righteousness. But children show us how to cook by feel. They know how to be open-hearted. In order to bring about the Kingdom of God, in order to see all people on earth as children of God, we have to be that open-hearted.
