To Our New Villanovans and Families,
Welcome to Villanova!
My name is Kierra Pickard, and I am this year’s Transfer Captain on the New Student Orientation Steering Committee. On behalf of our faculty, staff, current students and alumni, I am so excited to welcome you to the Villanova community.
Choosing to transfer is an exciting opportunity and the beginning of a new chapter filled with lasting experiences, connections and possibilities. While every transfer student’s journey to Villanova looks different, you are joining a community that is eager to welcome and support you as you take this next step. As you prepare to arrive on campus this August, we are looking forward to helping you connect, get involved and start making Villanova feel like home.
Over the past few months, our Orientation team has been working hard to create an experience that is meaningful, fun and designed to help you step confidently into your time at Villanova. I’ll be working alongside an incredible group of Transfer Counselors, who also transferred to Villanova, to support you as you navigate campus life, explore opportunities and begin building your community. We’ll share information about life at Villanova, both in general and from the unique perspective of transfer students who understand this transition firsthand.
We know that transferring to a new school comes with its own set of questions and experiences, and we’ve built our programming with that in mind. During Orientation, you’ll also have the opportunity to connect with other transfer students and begin building friendships right away. You can start now by following our 2026 Transfer Student Instagram!
