Welcome back faculty! I have enjoyed seeing everyone on campus in the last few weeks presenting and learning at the Faculty Conference and Annual Meeting; attending multiple department meetings; and supporting you all as you diligently prepared your D2L sections for the students this fall. At the beginning of any new academic year, it is easy to get caught up in hustle and bustle that ensues, but I would be remiss not take a moment to praise the Distance Education team.
I want to acknowledge the outstanding efforts of our Distance Education Support Desk, which has managed to complete over 800 user requests from July 1st through Aug. 30th. This clearly exemplifies their commitment to supporting teaching and learning at APSU. Additionally, our Instructional Technology team has worked diligently to ensure seamless technology integrations and website enhancements for users to access more comprehensive online support. Lastly, our Instructional Design team has been instrumental in preparing for the launch of the APSU Online Quality Fundamentals (AOQF) course review program and has earned new certifications to expand opportunities for faculty to participate in the Applying QM Rubric Workshop (APPQMR).
Throughout the academic year, the Distance Education team will be here to provide you with comprehensive support, including training sessions, technical assistance, course reviews, and resources to help you excel in your teaching endeavors. We are committed to ensuring that you have the tools and support you need to continue to deliver the exceptional education that our students expect and deserve.
