Students contribute to South Bend mural celebrating immigrant experience

A new mural frames the entrance to La Casa de Amistad overlooking South Michigan Street. The art commemorates the emotional journey for people who immigrate to the U.S. in search of a better life. The mural is a collaboration between La Casa and artist and educator Freddy Rodriguez, with input and assistance from students with Notre Dame's Center for Social Concerns.

Philanthropy students award $75,000 to local nonprofits

Students in Notre Dame's Philanthropy and the Common Good class awarded grants totaling $75,000 to five organizations during a ceremony held last month. Awards went to Dismas House, United Religious Community of South Bend, and St. Margaret's House, among others.

A match made in music: Fischoff celebrates 50 years

From humble beginnings, the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition has grown into the largest and longest-running chamber music competition in the U.S., partnering with Notre Dame to encourage and educate young musicians and deliver free musical programming to South Bend-area youth.

Legends reopens after two years with fresh look and menu

Legends is back and, according to this food review, it's better than ever. The refreshed restaurant still celebrates the history, legend, and lore of Notre Dame but with a brand-new menu and vibe. You'll find Legends on campus, just south of Notre Dame Stadium.
