Olin Welcomes the MBA Class of 2026

 
  • OISE (Office for International Student Engagement) is excited to announce that Bank of America will be on campus several times throughout August to help students open bank accounts!  Students can visit the Danforth University Center from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th for assistance in local bank account creation.
  • The OISE (Office for International Student Engagement) will host an International Student Welcome on Saturday, August 17th, in Bowles Plaza by Mallinckrodt, from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm.  Stop by for assistance with bank accounts,  phone plans, swag, and more!
  • Donuts!  Stop by the GPO Knight Hall 310 on the first day of classes for donuts, conversation, and more!  Monday, August 26th, 8:30 - 11:00 am!
  • Save the Date!  The Olin GPO will host the second annual All Graduate Student Resource Fair on Tuesday, August 27th, in Knight Hall, 2nd floor atrium, from 3:00- 6:00 pm.  Campus partners, food, swag, graduate clubs, and even a few furry friends will be available.
  • PMBA, OMBA, and FLEX students can sign up now to participate in several webinars created to enhance your next career move!  Learn more online and sign up today! 
  • Save the Date!  Olin Welcome Gathering and Diversity Expo: Celebrate the new academic year and connect with your Olin classmates! Don’t miss the annual welcome get-together hosted by Dean Mike Mazzeo and Olin faculty and staff on Thursday, September 5, from 4:00-6:30 p.m. in the Knight Hall atrium. Enjoy a tasty meal while checking out the Diversity and Inclusion Expo from 4:00-5:30 p.m. Learn about EDI resources available from WashU and Olin and explore campus organizations. It is sponsored by the Dean’s Office and the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
  • The chapter services manager awarded Olin’s Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi Silver Status.  Way to go, Dave Pearson and the BAP leadership!  Beta Alpha Psi is an international honor society for accountancy, finance, and information systems students, including data analytics and digital technology.  Learn more about Beta Alpha Psi online and how to apply.
  • FTMBA students are invited to the Fall MBA Meet n' Greet at Top Golf on Friday, August 30th.  Register early!

Campus Resources

  • Habif Health and Wellness Center is available through the summer!  Students on or around campus can visit Habif for in-person appointments.  Those away and on internships can still access the Habif virtual programs such as Timely Care.
  • The WashU Graduate Center maintains shortened summer office hours.  Please stop in, say hi, or watch the Graduate Center calendar for upcoming fall opportunities.
  • Danforth campus offers a variety of health and wellness programs for graduate students.  Learn more about services, programs, and centers.

The Graduate Center

 

 

All WashU graduate students are encouraged and welcome to participate in the programs The Graduate Center provides.  An all-campus graduate resource fair is scheduled for August 18th, and numerous other opportunities to get to know the WashU and St.Louis community are available throughout August.  Follow the TGC events calendar and sign up for some exciting events below!  Visit their New to St.Louis page for resources.

 

  • On Aug. 9, students will learn about St. Louis from a local historian and visit landmarks and hidden gems. A pizza lunch will be provided following the tour.  STL 101 Bus Tour: New to St. Louis!
  • Join TGC daily August 19-23 at 9:00 am and 3:00 pm for a walking tour of the Danforth Campus featuring spaces and resources of interest to grad/prof students. Reps from Parking & Transportation will share information and strategize with students on how best to access campus.  Walking Tour Series
  • Fall 2024 Re-Orientation Series – Occurs weekly.
