Happy New Year from Clemson University and the Department of Industrial Engineering! We hope the holiday season was restful and rejuvenating. As we prepare for the upcoming year, I wanted to reflect on the achievements of Clemson IE in 2024. It was an incredible year, driven by the energy and perseverance of our faculty across all career stages. We have grown to 27 research and instructional faculty in total. Both senior faculty and rising stars alike contributed to our scholarly output, with nearly four publications and over 250 citations per research-active faculty member.
In terms of grantsmanship, the department had $5.1M in research expenditures, as well as 28 new competitive grants awarded, exemplifying the power of collaboration and dedication. The department continues to grow, with over 350 undergraduate students and over 200 graduate students, and our faculty and students combined to collect 17 national and university recognitions during the year.
May 2025 bring prosperity, success and new opportunities for us all.
