MOTA DAY AT THE GAMBLE HOUSE
MOTA Day (Museums of the Arroyo)is Sunday May 5 this year and lasts from 12-4 pm. The following 5 museums are The Gamble House, the Pasadena Museum of History, the Lummis House, Heritage Square and the Los Angeles Police Museum. All these museums are free to visit. Pasadena Society Artists are welcome to come to the Gamble House and set up their easels, bring their sketchpads and/or their cameras to produce memorable artwork of the Gamble House exterior. You may bring chairs, umbrellas. Use the Gamble House for inspiration- color, textures, shapes; your work does not have to be literal.
PSA artists do not have to be there for the full 4 hours but you may come at 11:30.
Parking must be on Orange Grove or turn on Rosemont towards the Rose Bowl and then an immediate right to park on Prospect Square.
If you have a lot of equipment, come earlier at 11:30 and a Gamble House docent (probably me) will watch your equipment while you park your car.
You will most likely have some questions asked about your art; please engage the visitors and tell them about PSA.
We will try to have your PSA name tags so guests can recognize you as a PSA artist.
