Meet Sam Keller!
Have you ever wondered how library materials get cataloged, barcoded, and added to the Worldcat Library Catalog before they hit the shelves? Meet Sam Keller, who is one of Bertrand Library's catalogers! We'll let Sam introduce himself:
"Hello! My name is Sam Keller, Library Collections and Services Assistant for the Bertrand Library. I’ve been working here for almost a full year now (started January 2024). My work primarily involves cataloging new items for the library’s collection, as well as fixing metadata errors for items we already own.
I grew up right here in central Pennsylvania, and earned my BS in Biology from Susquehanna University. I made a career transition into Library Services after graduation, and have since worked in roles that involve many aspects of library work, including fundraising/development, volunteer management, and technical services, which is what I primarily do now!
In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my partner, watching basketball and Formula One, playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends, watching and recording films on Letterboxd, and chasing waterfalls."
