We need your help on the Medford "Street team," talking to residents about Medford's new municipal composting service and making it easy for them to sign up. This opportunity to help Medford go green includes both volunteer shifts and paid shifts. Our work will continue until we reach the maximum enrollment.
Street team members and volunteers will be:
• Putting up door hangers
• Talking to residents at their homes
• Talking to residents at events, farmer's markets and public gatherings
A typical volunteer shift is 2-3 hours; a typical paid shift is 3-5 hours. Preferred hours are afternoons and weekends, and we try to work in teams of two. Paid team members should expect to work 15-30 hours per week. Having your own vehicle to use is a plus (mileage reimbursed at .67/mile).
If you are interested in getting involved with our Medford Street Team, please email Bridget at bridget@garbagetogarden.org. If interested in a paid position please include your resume. To everyone already distributing door hangers on their own, thank you for your involvement!
