Kevin is a graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. His 40-year career in photography spans both commercial and creative imaging. Active in the arts community, he is a member of the Arroyo Arts Collective in Los Angeles where he was on the Board for 20 years. He has been a member of the Pasadena Society of Artists for 23 years. He has had 12 one-person exhibitions in the U.S. and France.
Kevin recently retired from teaching photography for Saddleback College. Kevin’s work is represented in the collections of the Getty Museum, the National Railroad Museum, Kodak, and the Center for Creative Photography. Kevin has made numerous photographs for publications. He has a preference for film cameras, and has done his own darkroom processing and printing for many years.
He currently has a solo exhibition at the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, WI on view from February 2026 to January 2027.

May was a very busy month. Our PSA members who participated in the 61st Annual Sierra Madre Art Fair did very well and are ready to give it a go again next year. This event is always the first weekend in May so mark your calendar if you want to participate...

Demo: Brian Dearden
Unlike the western method of printmaking that uses a brayer with a tacky ink and a printing press, the Japanese mokuhanga method uses a liquid ink applied with brushes and a hand tool called a baren to take the impression. Brian will demonstrate a small two color Mokuhanga print with hopefully some members of the audience participating.

PSA Salons are informal gatherings for members and their friends to share art in a supportive dialogue and good times. We share by listening and recognizing each other in a creative safe place.

2026 Artists’ Choice Exhibition
Exhibition Dates: June 4 - 30, 2026

Delivery of artwork: Thurs, June 4th 11 AM – 1 PM
Location: Creative Arts Group
Bring a printed copy of your submission form with your accepted artwork.
Opening Reception: Friday, June 12, 2026, 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
PSA will serve beverages but not food.
Sierra Madre will have an Art Walk on Friday, June 19, 2026, 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
If possible, please come to the gallery that night to talk about your art and PSA.
