Scientific Frontiers of Agentic AI

It feels as though we’ve barely absorbed the rapid development and adoption of generative AI technologies such as large language models (LLMs) before the next phenomenon is already upon us, namely agentic AI. The language AI agents might speak, sharing context without compromising privacy, modeling agentic negotiations, and understanding users’ commonsense policies are some of the open scientific questions that researchers in agentic AI will need to grapple with, writes Michael Kearns for Amazon Science.

Winning the Battle Against Yourself

Many of us have been raised to believe that if we want to get something done, we just need to set our minds to it. Where there’s a will, there’s a way, right? Yet somehow we end up polishing off that pint of ice cream in the freezer, or spending more than our budget allows. It’s almost as if we’re not the ones in charge. This week, the Hidden Brain Podcast spoke with Emily Falk about why our minds often conspire against our best interests, and how we can regain control.
