Top 5 Reasons to Apply to be a SOUL
|
The SOUL application is open! Here are five reasons why you should consider applying for the 2023 SOUL team:
-
SOUL is the ultimate internship. The SOUL position is a paid leadership experience with earnings of $3,500+, and it provides the opportunity to work full time and enhance skills employers are seeking. If you are looking to engage in an internship during your time at Miami, consider the SOUL position.
- Make meaningful connections with incoming students. SOULs welcome thousands of incoming students and create community as they start their Miami journey. SOULs have the opportunity to provide perspective and mentorship for new students, engaging in a valuable work experience.
- Be a part of a team. One aspect of the SOUL position that makes it unique is the team dynamic. SOULs learn to complement each other’s strengths to form a cohesive and supportive team. SOULs also live together on-campus during the summer.
-
Interact with offices around campus. SOULs are informed, resourceful guides at Miami. SOULs learn from staff in a number of offices and programs in order to be best prepared for information sharing during orientation.
-
Set goals and receive mentorship. SOULs have plenty of opportunities to set and work towards goals. SOULs work one-on-one with a mentor on the Orientation and Transition Programs team to identify meaningful growth areas that will benefit them during their SOUL tenure and future work experience.
Continue learning about the valuable and unique SOUL experience by engaging in the application and interview process. Apply to be a SOUL by our priority deadline on November 28. Applications will be accepted until the final deadline on January 9.
