Join Color & Culture on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023 at York College for the First Annual Pennsylvania Youth Addiction Prevention Summit (PA YAPS). This one-day event is for young people (ages 14-18) to discuss the current trends related to addiction and substance use in a safe and honest atmosphere. PA YAPS will include discussions about drug addiction, social media, gaming, and gambling addiction and the health and mental health consequences, as well as workshops for building refusal skills, and creating a life with meaning and purpose. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend, and will have a separate set of workshops.
The activities will be designed and facilitated by prevention specialists, youth empowerment professionals, behavior change and addiction scientists and experts in parent-child communications. This event is supported by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the American Lung Association.
