As part of its efforts to support freedom of expression, the Office of the Chancellor has established an Interim Systemwide Time, Place and Manner policy. This policy outlines the time, place and manner in which freedom of expression and assembly activities can take place on University property.
It is essential to note that the exercise of freedom of expression and assembly rights must be in line with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, as well as University policies.
For more information on the Interim Systemwide Time, Place and Manner policy, please visit the link below.

In addition, access the community-specific addendum for Sac State's policy below:
|
Our Campus Activities Response Team (CART) assists the campus community with education, support, and intervention related to these policies. Since its establishment in Fall 2023, CART has collaborated closely with a diverse, cross-divisional team to support the community during freedom of expression activities, protecting our students and campus property. We prioritize respecting these rights while ensuring they don't interfere with others' rights, privileges, or responsibilities, nor disrupt University operations.
