FEBRUARY 2026

FROM THE PARENT PROGRAM DIRECTOR

We are so thankful to be on the other side of the recent winter storm that impacted our Nashville community. We extend a heartfelt "thank you" to our incredible campus teams who worked tirelessly around the clock. Thanks to their dedication (and our fortunate access to generator power), our students remained safe, warm and well-fed throughout the weather event.

This spring semester will be filled with lots of events—from performances and concerts to sports and community events. We hope you are able to join us on campus this spring! I'm highlighting two upcoming opportunities for you to connect with other families and support your student’s journey: Giving Day and Singarama. Read on for all the details!

Thank you for being such an essential part of our community!

Stacy Blackston ('00)
Director of Parent Engagement

On the first Tuesday of each month the parent program hosts a monthly prayer Zoom for our Lipscomb families. You are invited to join us March 3 as we get to know other parents, share prayer requests and praises.
Each month, a guest speaker who is a faculty member, local minister or parent, will facilitate our time together. March's speaker is Deron Smith. He serves with the College of Bible and Ministry as an assistant professor.
The Zoom begins at 10:55 a.m. CT. This is the same time that our students will be in “The Gathering” which is our large group chapel. What a beautiful thing it is to take a break in the day to worship and pray together. Feel free to join us on screen or by voice—we understand you may be working!

Giving Day is this Thursday!

Giving Day 2026 is almost here, and for 24 hours our entire Bison Herd throughout the world will come together in the spirit of giving and gratitude to ensure future success of the programs, people and possibilities of the Lipscomb community.
Throughout the day, our students will celebrate with special activities to express their deep gratitude for the donors who make their Lipscomb experience possible. You are invited to direct your gift to the area that means the most to you and your family—whether that is a specific academic college, scholarships, the counseling program, athletics, mission teams, the Honors College or another area.
This year, your support means even more! In addition to the programs you love, you have a special opportunity to help restore our beautiful campus damaged by the recent winter storm. Let’s come together and build a stronger tomorrow for our Lipscomb students!
Parents Challenge: 450 Parent Donors
This year, our Parent Leadership Council is rallying parents to reach 450 current parents. If we hit our goal of those 450 parent donors, a $25,000 challenge will be unlocked! Not sure where to give? Give to what your family loves most—or consider these options where your gift impacts students the most:
  • Parent Impact Fund
  • Campus Replanting and Restoration
  • Lipscomb Experience Fund
  • Student Care Emergency Fund
  • University Counseling Center
Every gift—of any size, to any area—moves us closer to our donor goal!
Sign up and become a Giving Day Ambassador (and earn rewards!)
