| Bill Hancock has achieved a unique trifecta at the highest echelon of intercollegiate athletics. He was the first full-time director of the NCAA Final Four, the first executive director of the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) and the first executive director of the College Football Playoff (CFP). Using experiences gained during his remarkable five-decade career, Hancock led the conference commissioners and university presidents in creating the CFP. | What Now?by Drew Edmondson
The September 7 issue of the Oklahoman, page 8B, carried the headline, “Cloudflare drops hate site Kiwi Farms, citing danger”.
First, I had never heard of “Cloudflare” or “Kiwi Farms” but was curious what the danger might be, so I read the story.
Kiwi Farms is alleged to be a notorious stalking and harassment site. Their targets, at least the ones sparking the immediate action by their host site, were transgender individuals and feminists and “others they deem mockable.”
Matthew Prince, the CEO of Cloudflare, was quoted in the Oklahoman as saying, “…we believe there is an unprecedented emergency and immediate threat to human life unlike what we have previously seen from Kiwifarms or any other customer before.”
Wow.
Second, I had to consider what a sheltered life I lead not to know about such things. The people around me, whether they are Rotarians or not, basically want to know if things are True before they say them. It is important that they be Fair. They try to build Goodwill and Better Friendships and they want what they say and do to be Beneficial to all concerned. READ MORE

Rotary Club Dues Increase - Jan. 1, 2023 - A Message from President Wes
Fellow Rotarians,
At the Sept. 27 lunch meeting, we shared some news about a conversation that began over two years ago. Prior to the pandemic, it was clear to our administration committee, budget committee, and board of officers and directors that a dues increase would be necessary for the club to maintain a balanced budget. With the arrival of the pandemic, we were able to delay that conversation. As we’ve seen a return to normal club operations, meetings, and service, we’ve also seen an increase in almost every expense of the club due to inflation and we were forced to revisit the conversation. At the recommendation of our administration and budget committees, the 2021-2022 board of officers and directors approved a dues increase of $15 per quarter, or $5 a month, effective January 1, 2023.
