During the first two weeks of June, we welcomed our newest Bisons to campus at the New Student Orientation sessions. We look forward to them joining the Herd this fall! This summer our office is busy hosting Summer Send-Offs all over the country. Check out the details below, and we hope to see you an event in a city near you!  Enjoy your summer!

SUMMER SEND-OFFS
The Office of Alumni and Parent Engagement is hitting the road this summer! We will be hosting Summer Send-Off events in several cities. These send-offs are great opportunities to bring our Lipscomb families and alumni together to welcome our newest Bisons. We hope you will register and join us for an evening of food, fun and fellowship with the Lipscomb Herd. July 12: Lipscomb Night with
the Nashville Sounds
Join your fellow Bisons on Friday, July 12 at 6:30 p.m. for Lipscomb Night with the Nashville Sounds and cheer on our hometown team as it hosts the Iowa Cubs!
Lipscomb community members may choose from two price points for tickets: $15 or $20 before taxes and fees. The Lipscomb Office of Alumni & Parent Engagement will add a $10 concessions voucher to each ticket you purchase. It's a great time to connect with other Lipscomb families. You don't want to miss this fun night in Nashville!

FALL MOVE-IN
Volunteers needed! Lipscomb freshmen and transfer students will be moving into the dorms on Monday, Aug. 12 and Tuesday, Aug. 13. The Office of Alumni & Parent Engagement will have welcome areas set up at High Rise and on the side porch of Bennett Campus Center. 
We are looking for local parents to volunteer at the welcome area to meet and greet families as they start their Lipscomb experience. If you are interested in volunteering, email Stacy Blackston (’00) at sblackston@lipscomb.edu with what day you would like to volunteer. Once move-in times are confirmed, volunteer times will be finalized and shared.

Our office is excited to announce that we will host parent prayer Zooms this summer. We look forward to staying connected during the summer! Lipscomb parents Ron and Suellen Moen, who live in the Chicago area, are leading the Zooms. Our next summer Zoom gathering is July 2 at 10:55 a.m. CT. Please join us from home or on vacation. We look forward to connecting with you over the summer!

Faculty explores the integration
of faith and science
At Lipscomb, faith is not kept within a silo, and research is not excluded from questions of spirituality. While faith may not fall within quantitative measurements, its impact on society, individual people and their daily lives in the world can be measured, analyzed and explored.  
During the 2023-2024 school year, faculty from various colleges took on questions of spirituality through the scientific method, working to discover new ways to apply faith-based living and interacting in business, science, higher education, within church congregations and within the Academy. Elevate Moms offers a place to thrive
Nashville therapist Kim Anderson felt a calling to create a community where moms can go for healing, growth and support. Elevate Moms was created as a result and provides moms access to transformational tools they can use with their family.
