Keeping Sacred Time: An Exploration of Life’s Rhythms

What rhythms are driving your life? This Covenant Class series
is an invitation to look closely at this question and explore the
sacred rhythms woven into the world today. The Lenten season
offers a unique opportunity to examine one’s practices, habits, and daily routines, and to shift focus toward deeper alignment with God. Together, we’ll examine how these rhythms— both individual and collective—can guide us toward deeper connection with God and towards lives of deeper compassion for ourselves and others.

Today, we'll continue our discussion of the Practice of the Hours. You'll then be invited to reflect on the seasons and hours of your life, where the friction is, where the ease and energy can be found and how all of those moments can be invitations for being held in
God's presence. Led by Dr. Judy Skeen, Professor of Religion, Biblical Studies & Spiritual Formation at Belmont University.

Practicing Together
Wondering what to do this Lent? Tired of just giving up
chocolate? Wonder no more. Join us this Lent for an
intergenerational Sunday School class exploring spiritual
formation. This class will learn about a variety of spiritual
practices across four Sundays, including Lectio Divina,
Sabbath, Anam Cara, the Examen, and Visual Prayer. Not
only will we be introduced to these disciplines and practice
them in class, but we’ll also discuss how they can help us meaningfully engage in Holy Week and prepare us for the world-changing good news of Easter. This class is
intentionally intergenerational, and all ages youth group and up are welcome! Don’t just give up chocolate this year, add our intergenerational spiritual formation class as your

March 26
We need one more innkeeper  to eat, sleep, and engage with 14 adult male, unhoused guests overnight from 5:30 p.m. Wednesday – 6:00 a.m. Thursday. Cots and bedding are provided by the church, however you can bring your favorite pillow or sleeping bag if you prefer. Thursday morning the cots and mattresses will need to be returned to the RITI storage room. Most guests can assist with this, but innkeepers may need to help with older or disabled guests. Please contact James Boswell at boswelljs@gmail.com or Devin Childers devinchilders@gmail.com if you have any questions.
Please click here to volunteer.

Order coffee here.

Deadline March 22.

Help Keep Our Church Safe – Volunteer for Our Security Team!

We are looking for 10 more volunteers by the end of March to join our church security team! This is a simple commitment — even once every other month for a
two-hour shift would be helpful - and we provide all the necessary training. No prior experience is required, and all ages are welcome.

Our security team plays a vital role in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. We have a range of positions, from those who are more the active-response type, to "observe and communicate" roles, such as monitoring security cameras or staffing key entry points and using radios to communicate with security officers when needed.

If you’re willing to serve, or have questions, please reach out to Scott Portis at smportis@gmail.com today! We are really pushing to reach the March goal.

Thank you for considering this important ministry.
