PROGRAM UPDATE

What’s better than a perfect fall afternoon? A perfect fall afternoon with dozens of middle-schoolers playing four square and visiting with leaders as WyldLife Club kicks off for the week! With a team of adults, recent graduates, and an A Team of high schoolers, students grades 5-8 are finding leaders who care and  

are willing to step into the silly and Wyld world of middle-school kids. Life is full of questions in any stage of life, and these years can be such a crossroads for exploring deeper topics like faith. We are grateful for the space we are allowed to use, the parents and teachers who encourage kids to try out WyldLife, and the prayer from all of you over this ministry.

Likewise, in our high school team, we are deeply grateful for the prayer that covers us and the relationships we’re building this semester. Seeing students bring friends who return and bring more friends is a wonderful thing! We also continue to meet kids on their turf at sports games, school plays, school lunch, tutoring, birthday dinners, and more! For students desiring to go deeper into faith topics, we have our growing Campaigner group. One student shared that she is curious about Jesus but not sure about committing to follow him - she was met with encouragement and inclusion from the rest of the group, showing that she belongs here and we welcome her and her questions!

BANQUET UPDATE

Once again our annual Banquet Fundraiser was a success! With the help of volunteers and community support, we hosted a wonderful event, complete with business sponsors, dessert auction, silent auction, and stories from students.

One student, Star, shared about the belonging and inclusion she’s found at Young Life, and room to explore her faith, and how she wants her friends and cousins to find some of that like she did!

We continue to be dedicated to kids like Star and her friends, to show the welcoming arms of Christ to every student. Thank you for your support at the Banquet, and every day!

As leaders we get to come alongside students and help them grow in their faith. Through our Young Life committee, we have members bring guidance, prayer, and support for the YL team.

POINTS UPDATE

As a family, we are looking forward to Christmas break! As the kids get older and the schedule gets steadily busier - we often find we are living in a mad scramble to try and do it all. Maybe you relate?? Now as much as ever we need the reminder hand over our burdens to Christ, admitting we can't carry it on our own, and remember the reason we celebrate this special time of year. Thank you for your prayers for our family - please let us know if there are ways we can be praying for you! We hope you find deep rest and joy amidst all the holiday season crazies!
