Be proactive with your well-being |
We know summer is only just beginning, but it's never too early to make a well-being plan for the fall semester! How will you ensure you have the time you need to recharge, will support from basic needs resources be important to you, can you attend a group fitness class between your class schedule, what are some new ways you could get engaged next semester? Spend some time now to make a schedule for yourself so you feel ready to take on anything this August!

There are plenty of volunteer opportunities throughout the summer from helping on the OHIO student farm, to gardening with Community Food Initiatives, to preparing materials with Passion Works Studio.

Support the right to vote |
Calling all civically minded college students! Curious about public service careers? Spend fall semester diving into one of democracy’s most important jobs you never knew existed. Apply today for the All Voting is Local Election Administration Cohort program. Fellows will earn a $1,000 stipend. Apply by June 30.

On June 19 you can join a Black History Tour at 10 a.m. or attend the Juneteenth Celebration on College Green from 3-6 p.m. The festival will include music, food and vendors, and activities for children. This year's event is hosted in partnership with the City of Athens, Athens County Foundation, Racial Equity Coalition of Appalachia, Athens NAACP, and Mount Zion Black Cultural Center.

Ohio University students, faculty and staff now have full access to The New York Times through an exciting new partnership with the University Libraries. Use your OHIO ID to get access, which it includes everything from the newspaper itself to recipes, games and more.

Help Bobcats get settled on campus and get the chance to move in early (and waive the early move-in fee) by volunteering for the Bobcat Move-In Crew! Applications close on August 8 at 11:59 p.m.

Attend a concert under the trees on Thursdays through the beginning of July. All of the concerts are at 7 p.m. on the West Portico, just outside of Memorial Auditorium. The rain location is inside Memorial Auditorium.
