Volunteer, access virtual library resources
Campus is a little quieter in the summer, but I'm excited to welcome our incoming students at Bobcat Student Orientation, which begins later this month! For those of you whose students are now alumni, you are welcome to stay engaged through these emails. If you would like to opt out though, you can do so in the footer of this message.
You'll be hearing from me once per month during the summer, but I am here as always if you have questions or your student needs support.

Have your student line up a gig for fall |
Students can check OHIO job listings throughout the summer and consider applying for a student job next year or finding a summer gig if they're in Athens. A little extra cash can go a long way, and Career Services can help your student take the next steps in their professional development. Beyond hourly employment, there are opportunities like Federal Work Study and Program to Aid Career Exploration students might qualify for.

Summer break doesn’t have to mean a break from purpose |
You don’t have to be in Athens to live out your values.
Find a cause in your hometown, volunteer with a local org, or join a virtual project. Students can use
summer to learn with community, wherever they are.

| Resilience and Resistance |
Artists often used their practice to explore and react to occurrences in society. The 23 KMA artworks selected for this exhibition address a common theme of activism. Some depict events that occurred over a hundred years ago, while others reference more contemporary issues. See the exhibit at the Kennedy Museum of Art.
