As we are half way into November, many of you are gearing up for finals while also preparing to head home for Thanksgiving break. This stretch of the semester can bring a mix of excitement and stress, especially if you’re navigating tough conversations or adjusting to new expectations at home. Remember, you’ve grown in many ways since August, and it’s normal for that transition to feel different.

As always, you’re not in this alone. Take care of yourselves, use the support around you and know that I’m cheering you on as you push through these final weeks of the semester.

Are you looking to take the path less traveled for your career? Career Services is way more than career and internship fairs. Maybe you want to work toward getting published, pursue international research after graduation or get a head start in the music industry. OHIO has an incredible network, and Career Services staff will help you combine their resources with those of your college or industry. First-year students, while your Learning Community is coming to an end this semester, there is a new opportunity this spring called Spring Connections. Instructors will be from your college along with a Peer Leader to support engagement in the class, deeper learning about your career and hearing from alumni.

The 2026-27 housing contract will be available beginning December 1 at 9 a.m. through your Housing Self-Service page. At that time, you can also begin roommate matching for next year. To complete the housing contract, a $200 deposit/pre-payment is required. You must submit both the housing contract and deposit no later than February 25 at 4 p.m. to be eligible for room selection in March and to prevent a registration hold (if you are required to reside on campus), or for upper class students not required to live on campus that wish to. 

OhioHealth Campus Care is hosting a flu clinic. Students can visit the second floor of Hudson Hall on Friday, November 21 from 1-4 p.m. or Monday, November 24 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. with your OHIO ID and insurance info to receive a flu shot.

Need other vaccines? Routine immunizations like MMR, varicella, meningitis, hepatitis and Tdap are also available. Protect yourself and skip the sick days this semester!
