In February 2025, Gov. Ron DeSantis directed all state law enforcement agencies to enter into agreements with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) regarding immigration enforcement.
ICE officially executed a Memorandum of Agreement with UNF on July 7. At this time, none of UNF's University Police Department (UPD) officers have been trained by ICE, and no training has been scheduled. UPD continues to conduct business as usual.
