Tritons, the mandate to vaccinate is real, and it’s spectacular. Spectacularly thorough. All students, faculty and staff must be fully vaccinated – or have one of a few approved exceptions – to be in compliance by September 6.
Look, we know that uncertainty breeds anxiety. When everything's up in the air (including Delta) the skies are emphatically less friendly. All airline-related jokes aside, this is an extremely tough, dynamic time – but you are tough, dynamic people.
"Because days full of Zoom have got our eyes looking like spinning pinwheels, and we’re ready to be on campus again soon – analog style."
Check out this UC San Diego IG story to tell us why you chose to get vaccinated – aside from, you know, because it's mandated – and hear what fellow students had to say.

When it comes to personal-use-only COVID-19 test kits at our vending machines on campus, sharing is NOT caring. While it may seem like a compassionate act to provide a friend or loved one with access to testing, using another person’s ID not only constitutes actual medical fraud, it also poses a serious threat to our public health and contact tracing efforts.
TL;DR: Be sure to swab, lock, and drop your own test kit only.
