NAM Launches Partnership with NMGMA>

This month, we announced a partnership with the Nashville Academy of Medicine and the Nashville Medical Group Management Association to encourage physicians and their practice managers to get engaged in their professional associations. We are honored to be here as a key resource for all Nashville area physicians, and to partner with the NMGMA as an outstanding resource for our practice managers! Thank you to Laura Watkins, president of NMGMA, and to the full NMGMA board for partnering with us in this exciting way!

TMA Offering New Online Prescribing Course

For doctors with a state medical license expiring in 2020, time is running out to earn state medical board-required CME hours in proper prescribing. You need to have this course completed by December 31, 2019.

TMA’s NEW proprietary, accredited course, "Appropriate Prescribing in Tennessee," includes a comprehensive look at combating prescription drug abuse in Tennessee, along with updates on prescribing laws in 2019.

Federal Comment Period Closing Soon for Block Grant

Federal officials are seeking the public's input on Tennessee's revised plan for its Medicaid program, TennCare. Comments can be submitted online through December 27 with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

Volunteer Opportunity: Doctor of the Day


NAM members and other physicians throughout the state will volunteer through TMA every Tuesday between January 14 and April 14 to serve as Doctor of the Day.
Volunteers spend one day at the capitol and have the unique opportunity to interact with legislators on the House and Senate floors, attend committee meetings and get a first-hand look at the legislative process.  Learn more or sign up here.
