Easter Monday Holiday

A friendly reminder that Monday, April 5, is a school holiday and NO CLASSES WILL BE HELD. 

Parent/Teacher Conferences

LOWER SCHOOL: Lower School virtual parent/teacher conferences will be held on APRIL 13. Teachers sent out digital signups this week. Please contact your child's teacher if you did not receive one.
MIDDLE SCHOOL: For those Middle School parents who would like to conference with a Middle School teacher on APRIL 13, please email the teacher BEFORE April 10 to set a mutual time for a 15-minute Zoom conference. Parents are to review PowerSchool grades before contacting the teacher to set up a conference time. 

Eighth Grade Graduation 

Eighth grade graduation is indeed one of St. Michael’s time-honored traditions that celebrates student achievements and cements the bonds that have grown and developed through time.
Given the Governor’s recent guidance on graduation ceremonies, the administrative team is pleased to announce the plans for our graduation ceremony. Click HERE for information. 
In charting the course, our two goals were to ensure that the eighth grade could come together as a unified class for the graduation ceremony, while also adhering to specific graduation space occupancy guidelines mandated by the Governor for COVID safety.

More details will also be shared within the coming weeks regarding an eighth grade Baccalaureate service and other end-of-year celebrations both for the Class of 2021 as well as for our kindergarten-seventh grade students.

SHOOD Drive Service Outreach: April 6-16

As part of a school-wide service outreach initiative, St. Michael’s is pleased to be partnering once again with Shood (“Shoes for Good”) to collect gently-used athletic shoes and personal care items for the homeless in Richmond from April 6-16.  These donations will be assembled by Middle School students during study hall. Thank you in advance for your support!
Tubs will be placed in classrooms in the Lower School and at the front and back doors to Singleton Hall as students come to and from carpool. 

The Lower School will collect the following:
-- K/1st Grade: collect two small foot powders each
-- 2nd/3rd Grade: collect two nail clippers each
-- 4th/5th Grade: collect two pairs of shoestrings (for running shoes, NOT dress shoes)
The Middle School will collect the following:
-- Gently used athletic shoes

Sports and After-School Enrichments Schedule

Spring sports and after-school enrichment class schedules and pick-up times/locations for this week are below. Have fun!  
  • Boys' Lacrosse - Wednesday (green loop pick-up at 4 p.m.)
  • Girls' Lacrosse - Wednesday and Thursday (green loop pick-up at 4 p.m.)
  • Mountain Biking - Group 1 and 2 on Tuesday and Group 3 and 4 on Thursday (yellow/Middle School loop pick-up at 4 p.m.)
  • Cross Country - Wednesday (yellow/Middle School loop pick-up at 4 p.m.)
  • LS Soccer - Tuesday (green loop pick-up at 4 p.m.)  
  • Adventure Walkers - Tuesday (green loop pick-up at 4 p.m.)   
  • Adventure Walkers - Thursday (green loop pick-up at 4 p.m.)  
  • Adventure Walkers - Friday (green loop pick-up at 4 p.m.)  
  • LS Golf - Friday (blue loop pick-up at 3:30 p.m.)

Send Water Bottles Every Day

With temps getting warmer and drinking fountains closed due to COVID protocols, we are noticing that many children are forgetting to bring water bottles to school every day. Bottle filler stations are available in both academic buildings. Parents, thank you for your help!

(If a camp has filled, please be sure to register on the WAITLIST as we will do our best to safely accommodate some additional campers in the class if possible.)

COVID Reporting Protocol/Form


If someone in your family has symptoms, has been exposed, or is being tested for COVID-19, please inform the School  IMMEDIATELY IN WRITING via the COVID-19 Reporting Form link below. The confidentiality of the diagnosed student or faculty member will be maintained.

*IMPORTANT NOTE:  If you submit your COVID reporting form after hours or on weekends, please keep your child HOME until you hear from Nurse Maben on the next school day.
