ACTION NEEDED: TSS Booking & TEA Requests |
|
|
|
Dear Tritons,
As your booking window is fast approaching, we are sharing the following information to help support your booking experience. Thank you for your patience over the past few weeks as we worked to finalize this information for you.
Incoming undergraduate students will begin booking Fall Quarter 2026 courses on August 31 and September 1. Your individual booking window should be visible now in My Appointment Times in TSS. As per standard university procedures, incoming undergraduate students are randomly assigned to booking windows for their first quarter. Booking window assignment is final and changes will not be made.

Test scores (AP/IB) data and college transcript processing in TSS has been delayed. Therefore, you may need to submit a TEA request if a course you are planning to book in first pass has a prerequisite that you are transferring in. Read more below and complete the required next steps.
|
If you haven’t already, first complete the steps listed in our August 21 email. Then, follow the steps below to prepare for first pass booking:
|
-
🚩 IMPORTANT! Follow the instructions provided in the Incoming Student Booking Guidance resource as they apply to your situation. However, if TSS prompts you to submit a TEA request, submit one!
-
Seat Availability: If you are looking at the TSS Schedule of Classes and you do not see seats available, don’t panic. Departments will be adjusting enrollment limits later this week to open seats in many courses for new incoming students.
- Major Changes: The tool to change majors is currently unavailable, but expected to be available later in fall quarter.
-
Degree Audit: Coming soon! More information, including the link to the Degree Audit, will be posted in the Incoming Student Booking Guidance resource once it is available. If you have questions about your coursework, including college GE or major requirements, please contact your advisor.
-
Known TSS Technical Issues: The TSS Current Limitations & Known Issues is updated daily and provides information on several of the most frequently reported concerns with TSS.
|
- 🚩 Google Chrome is the recommended browser for accessing TSS and booking courses, as users have reported issues using other browsers. Using a laptop or desktop computer is required to complete booking. If you use a mobile device or tablet, you may be unable to book courses or may experience issues.
-
Log in to TSS at https://sis.ucsd.edu using your Active Directory single sign-on (SSO) information. Review the TSS Login and Navigation Guide for more information. Use Managing My Personal Details with TSS for step-by-step instructions on updating your personal information.
-
Enter your direct deposit information in TSS. Direct deposit information previously entered in other university systems will not automatically transfer to TSS. Missing, incorrect or outdated information may delay university payments or stipends. View the Direct Deposit Accounts in TSS guide for more information.
- TSS is unavailable nightly from 11pm to 7am PDT, including weekends, for system maintenance.
