Update on TSS Booking Actions |
|
|
|
Dear Tritons,
As promised, we are following up with you to provide an update on booking activities and actions for incoming undergraduate students.
As of today, the project team and business offices need additional time to resolve issues and ensure correct data is available to you at the time of booking. Work in these areas is progressing to prepare for your booking, and we expect to have more concrete information to share with you next week.
In the meantime and if you haven’t already, please review the below items about what actions are (and are not) recommended to take in TSS at this time.
The below information was previously shared in our email on August 12.

Complete the following actions to access TSS and review and update personal information:
|
-
Log in to TSS at http://sis.ucsd.edu using your Active Directory single sign-on (SSO) information. Review the TSS Login and Navigation Guide for more information.
- Find and take note of your Triton Student Number (TSN).
- Review and update your personal information and emergency contact information. Use Managing My Personal Details with TSS for step-by-step instructions.
-
Enter your direct deposit information in TSS. Direct deposit information previously entered in other university systems will not automatically transfer to TSS. Missing, incorrect or outdated information may delay university payments or stipends. View the Direct Deposit Accounts in TSS guide for more information.
- Review your student account information for the following:
- Before your booking window opens:
-
Review the TSS Preparing to Book Guide for information about booking windows and step-by-step instructions on how to book, drop and waitlist courses in TSS. Do not attempt to book, drop, or waitlist any courses in TSS until your booking window has officially opened.
-
Review the options available for planning your schedule before your booking window opens. Visit the Plan Your Class Schedule page to choose the tool that best fits your needs.
|
In addition to these actions in TSS and as you prepare for your booking window opening, we recommend that you also review any materials provided to you by your college and major departments throughout the summer to help you understand your degree requirements and prepare your schedule. See Academic Advising for New Students. If additional support is needed, follow up with your college and major academic advisors by submitting a question through the “Ask A Question” feature in New Triton Advising (vac.ucsd.edu).
|
At this time, incoming undergraduate students should not take any booking-related actions in TSS. You will receive a follow-up email next week with further instructions related to booking. Additionally, you will not be able to book until your booking window begins as listed in your My Appointment Times in TSS. Until you receive the follow-up email next week:
|
- Do not attempt to book, drop or waitlist Fall Quarter 2026 courses. Even if booking functions are available to you, do not attempt to book until your booking window opens.
- Do not submit Triton Enrollment Authorization (TEA) requests.
-
Do not expect to see any transfer coursework, including AP/IB test scores or GPA, in TSS yet. These are expected limitations for incoming undergraduate students at this time, so please do not submit a support ticket or report an issue for incomplete academic history or unavailable booking functions.
-
Do not rely on unofficial sources for information about booking dates, access or required actions. Only official UC San Diego emails, TritonLink, and verified university webpages should be utilized for the most accurate and current guidance.
|
🚩IMPORTANT! Completing any of the above actions listed as “do not” may create errors that could impact your official booking later. While some booking-related tools may be visible to you in TSS at this time, this does not mean that you should begin submitting requests or taking booking actions.
|
UC San Diego is providing enhanced support to help students during the transition to TSS. Submit your issue once through an appropriate support channel, and provide as much information as possible. Submitting the same issue through multiple channels will slow response times. Urgent issues affecting student access, course booking errors, payments, and core student services will be prioritized.
