The Social Programming Board of Washington University will host its WILD (Walk In Lay Down) concert on April 25 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Mudd Field. This performance requires a Washington University ID for entrance.
In anticipation of student participation in WILD, the University will be incorporating the following specific steps into its event:
• Sending communications reminding students about appropriate and safe behaviors.
• No alcohol will be served during WILD.
• Increasing neighborhood patrols by the Washington University Police and the Neighborhood C.A.R.E team.
• Providing additional trash receptacles in high traffic areas from Thursday night to Saturday morning.

| The Black Rep presents 'The Wash' |
Ordinary women become working class heroes in this true story of the Atlanta 1881 Washerwomen Strike, America's first successful interracial organized labor strike. Tired of being overworked and underpaid, Black laundresses stage a strike just weeks before the International Cotton Expedition comes to town. The story gives us an intimate and often humorous peek at the women who fought for their rights and won.
Directed by Erica Sutherlin, Founder/CEO at Sinuous Bourbon and Artistic Executive Director at The Studio at 620 (St. Petersburg, FL). Presented as part of a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere and with support from The National Endowment for the Arts, The Black Rep’s Sophisticated Ladies Initiative and Caleres.

Campus Utilities and Riney Hall Construction
|
The Danforth Campus continues to prepare for the construction of Riney Hall. Utility work begun last May continues and is expected to be completed in early May 2025, prior to Commencement. Pedestrian access to campus will continue to be routed around the construction site, and there is currently no planned impact to the Greenway Pedestrian Bridge. Mudd Field will be open through May 12, 2025.

East Loop CID Launches Streetscape Project to Enhance Pedestrian Infrastructure |
The East Loop Community Improvement District (CID) is launching a streetscape improvement project along Delmar Blvd (5800-5900 blocks), from Hodiamont Avenue to Laurel Street. This project will enhance pedestrian safety, accessibility, and connectivity, creating a more vibrant and welcoming corridor for residents, businesses, and visitors.
📅 Project Phases:
Spring 2025: Data collection & community engagement
Mid-2025: Conceptual design development (30% completion)
Late 2025: Preparation for federal grant applications to fund next steps
