Nominations are open for the 2025 Fordham-Stein Prize!
First awarded in 1976, the Fordham-Stein Prize was established by Fordham Law School and our distinguished alumnus Louis Stein. It was conceived to encourage ethical excellence in the legal profession by celebrating those whose careers embody the profession’s highest standards. The prize is presented annually to a member of the legal profession whose work exemplifies outstanding professional conduct, promotes the advancement of justice, and brings credit to the profession by emphasizing in the public mind the contributions of lawyers to our society and to our democratic system of government.
Recipients of the award may be from any state or territory of the United States and may hold a degree from any school of law. We are especially interested in nominees who reflect the increasing diversity of the legal profession in the United States.
You can view past recipients of the Fordham-Stein Prize here. Nominations are due by Thursday, March 20, 2025, and may be submitted by clicking the button below.
