Landscape Architect Lara Berkley Visits Longleaf Center |
As one of the few remaining undeveloped natural areas in the area, we invited Lara Berkley—a Wilmington-based landscape architect—to visit and tour the grounds of Longleaf Center. In addition to identifying plants on our property, she also shared fascinating information about our campus soil types and the historic plant species we would expect to find here in a natural setting. July 19th is Annual Camp Kindness Day—an opportunity for camp programmers to highlight the practice of intentional kindness and the many ways we teach and show kindness in engaging, simple, repeatable, and high-impact acts. Our Fun with Friends campers decided to surprise Tony with a visit to the Garden House and a colorfully-signed welcome poster! See the sweet video here.
