National Nutrition Month: Discover the Power of Nutrition |
March is National Nutrition Month, and this year's theme, "Discover the Power of Nutrition," highlights how informed food choices help individuals and communities thrive. You can harness this power by reconnecting with your food at local farmers markets or by using the Real Appeal program, available at no additional cost to those enrolled in a GW medical plan, to build healthy habits through expert guidance. You can also nourish your body by "eating the rainbow" with colorful staples like asparagus for vitamin K and spinach for energy. By experimenting with new cooking methods and seasonal produce, you can create a more intentional and healthful connection with what’s on your plate.
