Birthday Books Are Back!

We are excited to announce the relaunch of Birthday Books! This treasured St. Michael’s tradition is a great opportunity to honor your child and support their love of reading while helping to grow our St. Michael’s Lower and Middle School library collections. Here’s how it works:

●     Prior to your child’s birthday, visit the St. Michael’s Birthday Book webpage (https://www.bbgbbooks.com/st-michaels-birthday-books), hosted by local bookstore bbgb. The passcode to access the site is: stm (all lower case)

●     You and your child can select and purchase a book from the Birthday Book website to donate to the St. Michael’s library collection, or you can go to bbgb in-person to select a book.

●     Please select and order your child’s birthday book at least two weeks prior to their birthday to allow enough time for delivery and preparation of the book.

●     Your book can be dedicated to your child, a family member, a teacher or staff member, or anyone you choose. Just include your dedication text in the box provided on the order page.

●     Every birthday book will include a bookplate with your child’s name and dedication on the inside of the front cover.

●     Your child will be the very first person to check out their selected book! Birthday Book participants will also be recognized during the library class and in a special Birthday Book display at school.

Click HERE for more info. Thank you for your support of our St. Michael's libraries!

Flu Shots Recommended

Both flu and COVID-19 may be spreading this fall, so it’s more important than ever to get an annual flu vaccine. The best time to get vaccinated is before flu viruses start to spread—typically by the end of October.
While flu shots are a family decision, if we can reduce the incidents of flu this year, we can potentially reduce the need for quarantines (as the flu can mimic COVID symptoms) and COVID testing. Be sure to get your flu vaccination so that you can stay healthy this flu season!
