Save the Date for the 24th Annual Turkey Free Friendsgiving Potluck
The food will be bountiful and delicious when you join ARC and friends at the annual Turkey Free Friendsgiving potluck on Sunday, November 12, from 5:00-7:00pm at Living Spirit United Methodist Church in Minneapolis. You don't need to be vegan or vegetarian to attend; in fact, this is a great event to show friends and family just how delicious vegan holiday eating can be. 

Bring a vegan main dish, side dish or dessert to share with others, along with a serving utensil and a list of ingredients. Water and coffee will be provided, plus our super popular appetizer table of delicious vegan cheeses will be making an appearance again this year. RSVP on Vegan Meetup or Facebook.
ARC Volunteer Day at Chicken Run Rescue
Join us for ARC's annual volunteer day at Chicken Run Rescue on Sunday, October 15 from noon-3:00pm. Volunteers will help with whatever activities/chores CRR needs done to get settled in for the fall and winter. There will be a variety of tasks for everyone. CRR is located about an hour outside of the Twin Cities and does not publish its address for the safety of the birds. Please RSVP by emailing Chelsea. This event is limited to 20 volunteers. Chelsea will mail out details closer to the event date.

No children at the Volunteer Day event please; we are doing a separate tour of Chicken Run Rescue on Saturday, October 7 that is child-friendly through ARC's VegKins program. See info on that tour at the VegKins Facebook page.

Checking in Cuddle Coats
Checking in a ton of fur donations for our hugely successful Cuddle Coats program, which gives fur back to the animals where
it belongs. Volunteers prep the furs, which are then sent to our wildlife rehab partners
to aid in the rehabilitation of orphaned
and injured wildlife.

10/8 Kingfield Farmer's Market (8:30am-1:30pm), 4310 Nicollet, Minneapolis. Vegan outreach; giving out info about how a plant-based diet is good for the animals, the earth, and one's health.
10/14 Midtown Farmer's Market (8:00am-1:00pm), 2225 E Lake. St., Minneapolis. Vegan outreach.
10/14 Twin Cities Book Festival (10:00am-5:00pm), Historic Progress Center & Fine Arts buildings, MInnesota State Fairgrounds. Vegan outreach and promoting books with a humane theme.
10/19 Education Minnesota Conference (7:30am-3:30pm), River Centre, St. Paul. Handing out information to teachers about ARC's free classroom presentations on a variety of animal issues.
