Reminder: Prepare for Commencement 2026

Dear Degree Candidate,

Please remember to share your plans for participating in Commencement on May 17, 2026 and record your name as you wish it to be announced! We shared this message a few weeks ago and want to remind you that the response page in SIS will close next Thursday, April 23, 2026. Students will be able to still view the page once it closes but will not be able to make edits the selections. Please review the FAQs on our website for more information about changes after the page closes.

Diploma Name, Address, and Regalia

Please make sure to review our prior email for details regarding your diploma name, the address where we should mail your diploma, ordering your regalia, and claiming your complimentary commencement boxed lunch tickets.

Ceremonies

To access the My Commencement page in SIS, log into SIS and select “Graduation Status". Once you submit your response, make sure you are ready and eligible to participate in Commencement 2026 events by completing the checklist items on your status page and making sure you have paid any balance on your student account. The status of these checklist items is updated regularly beginning at the end of April and up to Commencement to reflect your status as it relates to these requirements. You can check these messages as needed in SIS on your My Commencement page.

Tickets

Claim your guest tickets. Graduates may order up to six (6) guest tickets through the ticketing platform. Use your Tufts email address and password to log into the ticketing system and then add your Tufts student ID number. Instructions for ordering tickets are available online. If you no longer have a Tufts email address and cannot log into the ticketing platform, use this form to order tickets.

Review your Checklist in SIS

Complete your Exit Survey: All graduating students are expected to complete an exit survey. Students will receive an email from the Office of Institutional Research towards the end of April with instructions and a unique link to access and complete the survey.  
Complete loan exit interview, if applicable: If you have borrowed a student loan to attend Tufts you will be required to complete a loan exit interview which explains your rights and responsibilities as a loan borrower. Additional communications will be sent to your Tufts email beginning early in April. 
Financially cleared: All graduating students must pay any outstanding balance due to the university prior to degree conferral. Please review your student account in SIS and settle any outstanding balance owed to Tufts. If you have an available credit, make sure to submit your refund request in SIS prior to the end of the semester. 
Email for Life for Tufts Alumni: Starting with the Class of 2015, alumni have the option to keep their @tufts.edu email address and have incoming email forwarded to a personal account. To send your @tufts.edu email to a personal account, follow the step-by-step email forwarding instructions. If you will be graduating soon, you should also forward or copy any emails that you want to keep. They will be deleted from Tufts' servers after you graduate.
