Pictured with her family (daughter Lauren, husband David, and son Jared), Amy Roskelley loves the great outdoors and is a valued member of the Equinox community!
The latest ‘Customer Spotlight’ shines on telecom expert and Protector User Group veteran Amy Roskelley. Amy became an Equinox customer in 2012 when she began working at her current company, a telecom provider who deployed Protector and TeleLink nearly three decades ago. Bringing 19 years of telecom experience with her to that position, she is now working on her 27th year serving as the Fraud Center and Message Processing Manager.

In her current role, Amy is responsible for all things related to usage and fraud protection for legacy CCI covering 8 states. One of her primary tasks is administering Protector, including initiating process changes and system enhancements. Amy also manages the toll processing functions from switch/LD inputs to bill— ensuring calls are received, processed, rated, and billed properly. She works closely with IT and Engineering teams to test and apply changes that may impact toll processing and fraud monitoring.

Amy not only uses the Protector fraud management system (FMS) daily, but she also actively participates in Equinox’s user groups (attending 4 of the last 5 annual events). Amy explains what she likes about the Protector User Group, “Interacting face to face with the Protector support team and all of the Equinox family is THE best part. Our relationship is similar to that of a coworker and friend. Having the opportunity to meet up each year in person and socialize face to face makes communication throughout the year so much more comfortable. Hearing firsthand of changes to the software and hearing from others who utilize the same application is priceless. And, of course, the Nashville music scene is fantastic to experience. I can’t get enough of that live entertainment!”

Amy and her team rely on CDR Rules to quickly identify and catch fraud. She says, “Protector’s flexibility allows us to easily customize rules, so we can target fraud relevant to our customers and our business model. Equinox Support is also available to help configure changes, too. For example, the fraud team previously manually typed data in spreadsheets. This process is now automated in Protector via a new report Equinox created. They listened to our needs and provided a solution that saves us a lot of time! And this is just one small example.” Amy is also quick to point out that the Equinox Support team is extremely responsive, “they are always there, giving us immediate attention—day and night, followed by a quick resolution or explanation.”
When she’s not using Protector to save her company money, Amy enjoys the great outdoors. She loves spending time with her family in any setting but in particular at their Lake Tahoe cabin. She also relishes a little therapy in her own yard; trimming bushes, planting, and weeding. As a decade-long season ticket holder, you can also find her at the Raiders games with her husband (now looking forward to the excuse for a long weekend in Vegas!).

Equinox gratefully acknowledges Amy’s contributions to the Protector community and user group meetings! It’s been a pleasure getting to know and work with Amy the last 7 years. A hearty thanks to Amy!
