TeleLink: Dashboards to the Rescue

We were thrilled to recently deploy one of the most requested TeleLink enhancements—dashboards. Your input, survey results, and focus groups determined the most useful, beneficial data for the prototypes we unveiled at the 2019 TeleLink User Group. Feedback from that event resulted in four new dashboards. Unlike reports, dashboards graphically display data, so you can evaluate system and network performance at a glance, review historical trends, identify research issues, and provide status reports. There are many ways to leverage this valuable resource... for example, dashboards can help with customer complaints about...read more.

Coming Up ONLINE!

In light of the latest COVID-19 virus news and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations, Equinox is hosting the 2020 TeleLink User Group Meeting (TUGM) as a series of online webinars the week of April 20th. This educational event explores TeleLink features, provides best practice guidance, and includes use case examples so you can fully leverage the system's mediation and routing assurance benefits. Get the latest meeting facts here and watch your inbox for further details.
As a system introduction, we are pleased to offer a 'TeleLink 101' webinar before the TUGM on March 30.  This free session is open to ALL members of the Equinox community, even if you cannot attend TUGM or are currently only a Protector user.

Drew Furnia is not only an avid cyclist, veteran, and telecom expert, he’s also a Protector enthusiast who registered for his first user group immediately after his team became Protector users. Help us welcome Drew to the Equinox community!
Last year, Equinox got to know Drew Furnia while implementing Protector and TeleLink for his entire company. We quickly found that Drew’s one of those folks who jumps right in to tackle the task at hand. Case in point, Drew joined the Equinox family, became a Protector user, and attended his first Protector User Group in the span of a few months. That’s why this ‘Customer Spotlight’ shines on Drew.

Drew explains that his “favorite” part of the Protector User Group was forging new relationships with Equinox as well as attendees from other companies. “The forum really supports this interaction and was a fresh take on conferences. I’ve already reached out to one conference connection at CFCA for help!” Drew also said, “the most beneficial aspects of the meeting were the use case demonstrations, great exposure to Protector’s capabilities, and how the laundry list (aka WISH LIST) underscored the many different approaches and methods each company had.”

At his company since December 1999, Drew currently serves as Manager Operations Engineering NOC. The members of the Operations group are the primary users of the Protector FMS (fraud management system). Drew explains that Protector alerts them much more quickly than their former FMS did and allows them to alert on call attempts for the first time ever. He says, “Protector gives us gains in speed, visibility, and the ability to address incidents proactively. Also, having the entire company on a single FMS has greatly simplified things, for additional time gains.” He not only investigates alerts in the system, but Drew also manages Protector and reports on its use.

Although the Billing group at his company is the primary owner of TeleLink and Drew hasn’t delved into that application yet, he has already registered for the 2020 TeleLink User Group Meeting to learn more about TeleLink’s phenomenal data access and report abilities.
Drew cycles year round and
has completed the annual STP
ride five times now!
Drew has a lot of experience managing and working with vendors over the past two decades, so it’s especially nice to hear that “Equinox is different in two good ways—first, the entire team is very approachable, and their response time is phenomenal. Secondly, the team has dogged determination to troubleshoot and address issues. Kudos to the team for sticking with and tracking down the resolution.”

Drew was born in Merced, California. As part of an Air Force family, he moved to England and Nebraska before settling in Washington state, where he finished high school and enlisted in the Air Force. Drew and his wife still reside in southwest Washington within 20 minutes of his adult son and daughter. For years, Drew spent his time away from work long-distance hiking/backpacking. In 2014, he went on a cycling ride from Seattle to Portland (the 205-mile annual STP, which you can complete in one or two days). He now cycles year round and has completed the STP a total of five times. He likes the two-day trek better (and has completed it this way twice) but relishes the challenges of a one-day push (which he’s done three times). In 2016, he joined his brother on the last leg of a transcontinental bike journey, cycling 850 miles with him from Pierceton, IN to Virginia over a 14-day span.

It’s been a joy getting acquainted and working with Drew this past year. Equinox appreciates Drew’s enthusiasm and energy at the past user group meeting and looks forward to his contributions at the 2020 gatherings!
