Deb's Sparks!
We are less than two weeks to Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday season. It's a time for family and friends and being thankful for all the blessings in our lives.
I love November.  The main reason is that I LOVE Thanksgiving.  The days get shorter and the weather is changeable: the days are warm, the nights are cold and the wind blows away the end of the leaves. My favorite time of day is twilight as dusk become night and there is a little glow left from the sun.  The sky is so beautiful.
If I happen to look through the leafless trees during twilight and see that beautiful sky, I am always transported back to my childhood.  It's a somewhat silly memory but I love it.  It's a day when I could walk home from school (I normally took the bus) and go to the local library. On this day, I sat on the floor between the shelves of the library, reading Alfred Hitchcock and the Three Investigators. (I've always loved Hitch) When it was time to walk home, I walked along the sidewalk avoiding the overgrown bushes, kicking the last of the leaves and feeling pretty damn independent.  It was a 15 minute, uneventful walk, but I can still feel the cool air and smell the leaves.  It makes me smile.
What memories will you create this month? Let's create great memories with our friends and families and spread the love.
Wishing you peace, love and sparks of inspiration, Deb
Igniting the Next Generation of You!:
Time to Revisit 2015 Intentions!
Do you remember the intentions we set in January?  Remember our vision boards?  It's crunch time for 2015; there are about six weeks left in the year and plenty of time to make progress on our goals and intentions.  I wrote an article about checking in with annual intentions for 24/7 in August:  A Fresh Start In Fall In the article, you will find five steps to evaluate your intentions and move them towards completion.  I hope you find them helpful.
When I look at my vision board, I smile.  I did get the vacation side of the board complete with trips to California in April, Florida in July and Italy in September.  There were plenty of road trips along the way, too!
There are things I did not get done:  I did not paint the interior of my home, but I did finish upgrading the floors.  I did not sit in meditation every day but I discovered that walking (or moving my chi) is alternate method of meditation for me.  It's all good.
What stands out to me most on this page is "There's more to the story" and "Life Lessons".  It's a personal year 5, a year of change, for me.  (Stay tuned for a blog about the Personal Year 5 in early December.)  For now, I will continue moving forward and know in my heart that there is more my story.
Tools You can Use! - Pay Attention, again!
In 2016, I think I am going to rename this section "Pay Attention".  It seems that it is the most important intuition tool that we often dismiss.  Once again, I have story.
Our October book, The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz, was a perfectly timed book for me.  I started reading the book in October but only finished today as I was writing this newsletter.  If you are not familiar with The Four Agreements, please read my comments on the RLS bookshelf.
Reading The Four Agreements was timely for me as its message is about communication.  Even more timely were the last few chapters of the Book:  The Toltec Path to Freedom:  Breaking Old Agreements and The New Dream: Heaven on Earth.  These chapters discuss breaking old agreements you have with yourself plus forgiveness, self love, etc.
I typically think too much, replay conversations in my head and wonder what I could have done differently. I needed to hear and learn the Four Agreements.
When we follow the Four Agreements, we don't have to replay conversations and wonder.  We speak our truth and practice forgiveness. We operate from our heart, a place of love.  I will continue to study them and practice.
Was it a coincidence that I read The Four Agreements now?  Not a chance.  I picked up the book at Rummage for $1 and I know it was my best purchase this season.  I always say, "Rummage purchases are magical".  It was the right message at the right time for me.
Pay Attention.
You can find my article about volunteerism (its my journey to find Rummage) in early December in "Keys to a Good Life: Wisdom to Unlock Your Power Within".  It is being published by Maximillan Publishing, a sister company to Change Your Attitude, Change Your Life!  Stay tuned for more information.

“I want to say that I enjoyed your intuitive coaching workshop at last Friday's job club at CCM. It helped to answer some questions and opened my eyes to other solutions.”
