SOCIAL DISTANCING REMINDER

The Office of the Dean of Students has received reports of social gatherings in Eugene involving students. As a reminder, Oregon Gov. Kate Brown issued an executive order March 23 directing citizens to stay home unless absolutely necessary until further notice. The order states that social gatherings (parties, celebrations) with people from outside of your household are not allowed. This is important as we try to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our community and throughout Oregon. Please keep public health and safety in mind and refrain from hosting or attending gatherings with people outside of your household. Week three preparation checklist:

Schedule time to visit virtual office hours you missed during week two.
Meet with an academic advisor to make sure you're on track and plan for future terms.
Connect with remote tutoring support for help with a variety of classes.
Check Remote Resources for Students and Going Remote webpages for updated resources and information for remote learning.

WELLNESS

Protection Connection is launching a sexual health newsletter. Sign up online and submit your questions. Safer sex supply deliveries are still available to residence halls.
The Counseling Center's free teletherapy service is now available to students in Colorado and Texas in addition to Oregon and California. All students are encouraged to call 541-346-3227 for help navigating their mental health service options, regardless of location.

IMPORTANT INFO

Duckweb will be unavailable for scheduled maintenance tomorrow, April 10, 7:00–11:00 p.m.
Online voting for the ASUO election is open through 4:00 p.m. tomorrow, April 10. Browse candidates on the ASUO Voter Guide and cast your vote on Duckweb.
University Housing and the Office of Sustainability are still donating items from students moving out of residence halls.
The 2020 UO Student Group Excellence Award application is due April 24.
This year, the Undergraduate Research Symposium will be held virtually. Submit your abstract through the extended deadline of April 17.

REMOTE SERVICES AND EVENTS

Did you leave your bike locked up on campus or nearby? UOPD is launching a new program to retrieve bikes for students. Officers can cut locks, if necessary. Sign up online.
The Holden Center is giving CliftonStrength consultations virtually to help students explore their leadership strengths.
UO Libraries are now offering pickup services in Eugene and Portland to help support distance learning. Home delivery is also available.
Save the date: UOPD Chief Matt Carmichael will host a virtual “Chat with the Chief” for UO students on April 22. More information will be posted soon on UOPD’s events page.

FUN FACT

Eugene is the only U.S. city to host three consecutive U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Track and Field.
