Dear Tritons,
The Triton Student System (TSS), UC San Diego’s new student information system, will be available to students on July 21 at 8am.
You can log in at http://sis.ucsd.edu using your Active Directory single sign-on (SSO) information. You can also access TSS from TritonLink via https://students.ucsd.edu/ by selecting the Triton Student System button in the top right corner.
🚩 IMPORTANT: Do not use the Firefox browser when accessing TSS. Firefox will not allow you to book courses. Please use another browser to access and use TSS.
For step-by-step instructions on logging in, completing your first-time review and finding key tools in TSS, view the Triton Student System (TSS) Login and Navigation Guide.

|
|
The Fall Quarter 2026 Schedule of Classes and details on the graduate student booking window will also available. You can view the Fall 2026 booking window in TSS: My Appointment Times. Graduate students are assigned a standard booking window that allows access from the first day of graduate booking through the add deadline.
|
Please review the July 9, 2026 email from the Office of the Registrar for the full list of actions you should take.
The TSS Login and Navigation Guide explains how to log in, complete your first-time review, and find your Triton Student Number (TSN), personal details, academic information, holds, booking window time, direct deposit information, and other frequently used student tools.
After logging in to TSS, you should complete the following actions:
|
-
Find your new Triton Student Number (TSN). The TSN replaces the PID as the primary student identifier in TSS for continuing students. Your nine-digit TSN can be found on the TSS homepage between your name and UC San Diego email address and begins with the number 2.
- Review your personal information for accuracy and update your address and emergency contact information.
- Verify your academic information, including your graduate program / major. While a program code may have changed, the name of your graduate program should remain the same. If information appears to be incorrect, contact TSS support.
-
Enter your direct deposit information in TSS. Your current direct deposit information in TritonLink did not transfer to TSS, therefore you must re-enroll in direct deposit in TSS. Missing, incorrect or outdated information may delay university payments or stipends. For more information, review the Update Direct Deposit Information and Temporary Pause on Financial Aid Disbursements article.
-
Please note that direct deposit for graduate student employment payments processed through UCPath is not affected by the TSS implementation and may not require re-enrollment. Please ensure that your direct deposit information in UCPath is also up to date. The direct deposit re-enrollment requirement in TSS applies only to student refund payments processed through TSS.
-
Summer Session students expecting financial aid are strongly encouraged to review the Update Direct Deposit Information and Temporary Pause on Financial Aid Disbursements article, which includes information about the Financial Aid disbursement pause from July 28 - August 7, 2026.
-
Check for any active holds in My Holds. Holds may prevent you from booking courses and may need to be resolved before your booking window opens. For more information review the Viewing and resolving Holds in TSS training guide.
-
Review the Fall Quarter 2026 Schedule of Classes and begin planning your courses. The TritonGPT Class Planner can help you map out your potential schedule.
-
Before the booking window opens, review the TSS Preparing to Book Guide for step-by-step instructions on how to book, drop and waitlist courses in TSS.
|
Beginning with Fall Quarter 2026, students will use TSS to book, drop, waitlist, and manage courses. Summer Session 2026 enrollment will continue through WebReg.
The following term enrollment unit limits apply to all graduate students beginning Fall Quarter 2026:
|
- Initial Booking Period: When the booking window opens, graduate students may book and waitlist a combined total of up to 20 units.
- Prior to Instruction: Beginning one week before the start of instruction, the term enrollment limit will increase to 30 units.
-
Requests to Exceed the Unit Limit: Graduate students who need to book more than 30 units may submit a Triton Enrollment Authorization (TEA) request for approval by their home graduate program. Guidance for TEA requests will be available here.
|
What Should I Expect Next? |
You will receive an email from the Office of the Registrar when graduate booking begins.
Before the booking window opens, review My Appointment Times and confirm whether you have any active holds. Hold information may appear in My Holds, My Appointment Times or when you attempt to book a course.
🚩IMPORTANT! You must carefully review all the information displayed before completing an action in TSS. Unlike WebReg, TSS will not initially display a confirmation prompt before completing certain actions, such as booking or dropping a course or changing a grading option. Confirmation prompts are expected to be added in a future quarter.
Temporary Unit/GPA and Degree Audit Availability
Your previous coursework, including individual course units and course grades will not yet be available in TSS; continuing students should continue to use My TritonLink to view your Academic History. Also, cumulative unit and GPA calculations will be temporarily unavailable for viewing in TSS while the project team completes additional validation. This does not affect your grades, academic history, academic standing, or official GPA record, and you do not need to take any action. Continuing students can view their official GPA in MyTritonLink through the end of Summer Quarter 2026 through the Academic History tab, by running a degree audit, or by ordering an official transcript.
uAchieve degree audits will also not be available through TSS until approximately mid-August. Continuing students enrolled in a Master’s level program may continue using the degree audit in MyTritonLink through the end of Summer Quarter, although courses booked for Fall Quarter will not appear until the TSS version becomes available.
