The NAB announces 2018 Marconi Radio Awards finalists. Winners will be announced Sept. 27 at the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner & Show
AC Station of the Year: Federated Media's WMEE (97.3fm, Fort Wayne) will compete with KRWM (Seattle), KSTP (Minneapolis/St. Paul), WRCH (Farmington, Connecticut) and WSHE (Chicago).
Non-Commercial Station of the year: South Madison Community School's CHR/WEEM (91.7fm, Pendleton) will compete with KHJK (Rocklin, California), WPSC (Wayne, New Jersey), WUFT (Gainesville, Florida) and WWOZ (New Orleans).

After two years anchoring the weekday 10pm news, Heartland Media's FOX affiliate/WFFT-TV (Channel 55, Fort Wayne) weekday anchor Brooke Welch exits. Ms. Welch joined WFFT in October 2013 as a reporter.
Nexstar's CBS affiliate/WANE-TV (Channel 15, Fort Wayne) welcomes Sierra Tufts as "First News Weekend" anchor and reporter. Ms. Tufts last worked as a weekend morning anchor and reporter for WICU-TV/WSEE-TV in Erie, Pennsylvania ("Erie News Now")
Central
Tribune Broadcasting's FOX affiliate WXIN-TV (Channel 59, Indianapolis) drops their weekend 11:00pm half hour newscast ("FOX 59 NewsPoint at 11:00").
Westcentral
Corrected: This Saturday (July 21), there will be a memorial held for the late Terre Haute broadcaster Matt Luecking. The "Blessed for Another Day Luau" will be held from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at the Deming Park Pool (500 S. Fruitridge Ave., Terre Haute). In October 2016, the popular Terre Haute and Indianapolis DJ was murdered in his home.
Southeast
Hoosier Ag Today add several affiliates: White River Broadcasting's Classic Hits/WWWY (106.1fm, North Vernon), and "Hoosier Ag This Week" now airs on News-Talk/WCSI (1010am, Columbus) and FM translator W251CK (98.1fm, Columbus).
Also, Hoosier Ag Today adds Becky White's WSLM (1220am, Salem) and WSLM-FM (97.9fm, Salem).
