PHUMC Women's Ministry spring project will provide Welcome Wagon baskets to every child who arrives at Methodist Children's Home. We have created a Signup Genius you can access by clicking here with a list of needed items. Purchased items may be placed in the bins in the foyer of either building by the end of May and online purchases may be shipped to Pastor Dawn's home. You may also give monetary gifts to our May communion offering, to date totaling $1,167.

Our June summer worship series “I’ve Got a Question,” will give us space to discuss some of our own questions about faith, God, scripture, and the church. If you’ve got a question, and you know you do, get them to us by May 29th. Then, join us for worship in June as a panel each Sunday dives into our questions. Worship will look and feel mostly the same. I look forward to this time of worship and to muddling through the messiness of faith together.

Senior Adult Spiritual Retreat: We are making plans to partner with other area UMCs to attend the “Festival of Wisdom and Grace” at Lake Junaluska, NC, August 1-4, 2022 for worship, workshops, recreation, and entertainment at the beautiful Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center. Participants will explore how to flourish as they navigate transitions, live into talents and passions, and cultivate their relationship with Christ in the second half of life. Mark the date and let the church office know if you are interested in attending. More info soon.

St. Mark's UMC in Brandon will be offering a grief recovery group beginning Sunday, June 5th from 2-4 p.m. GriefShare for Adults is a 13-week biblically based program designed to be a supportive caring environment for individuals experiencing the pain of loss of a loved one. We will host "Gospel and Games" for ages 3 through rising 6th grade Sunday, June 19-Wednesday, June 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Your child will dive into one of the Gospel stories, enjoy a snack supper, work on a craft or science project, and end each night in GAMES! Monday night come prepared to get wet and bring a towel. Tuesday night wear clothes that can get messy and bring a towel. Gospel and Games will conclude with a Church Family Meal and Game Night Wednesday, June 22 @ 5:30. Parent/Guardian MUST stay for this night. Volunteers are needed to make this event a reality. We will have a volunteer meeting Sunday, June 5 after worship. Childcare will be provided at Gospel and Games for all volunteers. Registration for your child will be due by June 15. Click here to register your child OR to volunteer.
